It's not really that bad. My company is taking the employees to Cabo, Mexico next week for a trip that they earned in early January. I didn't start working until January 31st, so I didn't earn it. Lately, part of my job has included making their travel arrangements: calling the hotel, arranging flights, itineraries, gift bags, excursion packages, cocktail hour arrangements...I know how much fun they're going to have, but I won't be having. I'm going to be the only person in the office during that week...EVERY employee is going to Mexico. Maybe they'll come back sunburned. :)
I'm not really that bitter. I had an employer who took us to Rocky Point and we had a blast, so I hope they enjoy themselves because they really did earn it.
