So Tired, and It's Not Even Christmas Yet!

O goodness gracious. So, last week we packed up our Uhaul to move to Idaho, Tuesday we moved during a snowstorm, Wednesday we had to replace our windshield because it had cracked Tuesday night while sitting at a stop light (go figure).

Well, we had heard that there was going to be a BIG ice storm in Chicago on Thursday that was supposed to hit round about the time our plane landed, so we quickly packed up our bags and drove out Wednesday afternoon trying to make it BACK to Salt Lake City and trying to catch a flight for that evening. We made it...barely. When we had called to change our flight, it was practically empty. By the time we made it to the airport it had been filled with people being re-routed because Las Vegas was closed. Whose bright idea was it to re-route people going from Salt Lake to Las Vegas through Chicago? It's in the opposite direction! Just get them a rental car for pity's sake.

We got here. And there was no ice storm. And it only cost us $100 extra to get in early. So, we get an extra day with my family. Yeah. I've gotten to spend time with my beautiful neices, and I got to see my nephew. Everyone was here last weekend, so we took the opportunity to take family pictures.

Matt actually got an infection in his eye on Wednesday, and the day before the pictures were taken it was swollen completely shut. It has improved since, thank goodness. And I have apparently developed allergies in the last month or so. It's funny what pregnancy does. My sister and mother both became allergic to gold after pregnancy. How odd is that?

It's really difficult getting three toddlers to look at the camera at the same time.

But I think we managed. Of course we picked one of the coldest days to do this.

Matt's Birthday was on Sunday and we had dinner at his parents' house. His aunt also gave us our Christmas presents. I got a maternity shirt, which put Matt into shopping mode. He's been going to Kohl's searching maternity departments, and to the outlet mall to find me clothes to wear when I get a little fatter. It's been a lot of fun since he NEVER wants to buy me clothes. We ended up with about $300 worth of clothing and it only cost us about $30. If there's one good thing about my husband, it's that he is a coupon master. Thankfully there are more good things about him, but you don't need to know all of them. ;)

It's Christmas Eve, and we spent the evening over at his parents' again, where we had supper and opened more presents, and watched Baby Wars between my neices. If you've never seen toddlers fight, it can be quite entertaining. Throw in a chubby uncle to jump on and it's a blast.

Now I'm helping Santa wrap presents. We'll update a little later.

Merry Christmas!
