So, my last post indicated that there had been a shooting in the complex next to ours, and I was wondering just how bad it was. But, since I was not home at the time of the shooting and happened upon the scene after officers had already arrived, I was in no position to state what had happened or even when. No worries, though. It turns out it was a stupid 18-year-old who got shot in the hip. He's okay, and is in custody because he hasn't been cooperating. Otherwise, everyone is fine.
Last week, Matt and I were going to go to the Porcupine Grille to see just how good it was and because we had received vouchers. When we arrived that evening, we found that the parking lot was completely full and to seat two people the wait was going to be over 1 1/2 hours. It must be good, we thought. But we didn't stay to find out because we were both famished. So we went to Bajio's instead.
This morning, we thought we'd give it another try. So, we set off for the Porcupine bright and early and arrived 30 minutes after they had opened, and already the place was pretty full. But, we were able to get a seat right away. It was fabulous! Not exactly heart-healthy, but very tasty. And it's situated at the base of the mountains, which at this time are snowcapped, so it was also very beautiful. Anyhow, if you're ever in Salt Lake, give it a try.
