Swallowing

I'm taking a class on swallowing disorders called Dysphagia (dis fay zha ).  We're learning, of course, about the anatomy of the mouth and throat, but also how all the muscles work together to create a good swallow.

I've learned that there are two types of swallowers: tippers and dippers.  Tippers have the tip of their tongue touching the roof of their mouth during a swallow, while dippers point the tongue to the floor of the mouth.

I'm a tipper.  Which one are you?

Just curious.
