Aubrey's Birthday

For those of you who know us Willis folk, you will know that our family tree is a little twisted. My older sister married Matt's older brother...and they bred. Three years ago we met the result....Aubrey Nicole Willis. She just turned three. And we just had to celebrate!



Grandma and Papa decided to take the family to A&W because her initials are ANW. Apparently, this may be a family tradition because Ada is AMW. What were we thinking?



Anyhow, we were really glad to go because it gave us all a chance to see each other. This doesn't happen as often as one would think, given that most of us live within an hour of each other. And it especially won't be happening as often since Autie Rae decided to get married and move to Indiana. So, while Rae's hubby couldn't be there, we were very glad to get everyone else to the party.



Even cousin Vivie came.

After burger and fries and, of course, Root Beer floats, we went back to Aubrey's house for some cake and presents.



This little beauty was made by Aunt Wax (that's me).



Vivie knew exactly what to do when the candles were lit...She beat Aubrey to it! We had to relight the candles so the Birthday Girl could blow them out.



And the cousins Zack and Ellie (my older brother, Greg's kids) came to help the Birthday Girl open her presents.

Ada got passed around from person to person...to be expected. And when she started screaming, she got passed to Papa. He has the magic touch. Can calm ANY baby.

A good time was had by all.
