Disney Photo Dump

We started our trip by stopping in New Orleans.  I had never been, and was a little nervous about driving into a fish bowl during a torrential downpour.  But we survived.  And Ada requested we have beignets for breakfast the next morning...just like Princess Tiana.  So, we walked through the French Quarter (now we know why we were told to avoid the French Quarter) and found the famous Cafe Beignet.

They were a tasty once-in-a-lifetime treat (because we won't be eating anything like that for quite some time).

Once we hit Orlando, our first stop was Hollywood Studios, where she...

...made silly faces...
...met Miss Daisy...
...and earned a new set of ears...

The next day was Magic Kingdom, where she...
...met Merida...
...and shot Merida's bow and arrow with deadly accuracy...
...hung out at Pirate's Terrace...

...saw Cinderella's Castle...

...tried pulling the Sword out of the Stone...
unsuccessfully, darn it...

...and passed out during the parade.

We almost made it the whole day, but my potty trained child had an accident 30 minutes before the fireworks...and we were unprepared...so we had to leave.

The next day was Animal Kingdom, which turned out to be a glorified zoo.  The Safari ride was fun, but it was too hot and humid to really enjoy the day.  The bonus was, Matt managed to get us in to eat lunch with the characters.  So Ada got to meet Donald, Goofy, and Mickey...but she wasn't all too thrilled about it.

Epcot proved to be our most successful day.  Ada got the chance to meet the Princesses.  And we made it to all but one...well, actually, we did get in line for Princess Jasmine and Aladdin, but Ada freaked out and demanded we leave.  So, we got all but Jasmine.

We even managed to stay for the fireworks!

All-in-all, a great trip.  We even got to see Matt's Mimi and Aunt Marion.  And, of course, what's a trip to Florida without a little citrus.  Matt found a U-pick grove and grabbed a half-bushel of oranges and tangerines.  We'll be turning orange soon.
